Laser/LED Safety
The AV6010 Camera Module uses visible red LEDs to create an “area flood
pattern.” Do not stare into the camera’s exit window at the LED light. Avoid
direct eye exposure. The LED light level does not constitute a health hazard,
however staring at the LED light for prolonged periods could result in eye
damage.
The AV6010 RangeFinder Module uses visible red lasers emitting from the
left and right apertures to create a unique pattern used in detecting the
presence of a product in the scanning area and for measuring the width of
products.
WARNING: Use of controls, adjustments, or procedures other than those
specified in this document may result in hazardous laser light exposure.
The AV6010 RangeFinder Module is rated as a Class 2 Laser Product by
the International Electrotechnical Commission.
Compliances are as follows: Class 2 Laser Product (IEC/EN 60825-1):2001,
Class II Laser Product (21CFR1040) <1.0 mW peak/cw power at
wavelength 630-700nm.

Refer to the following figures for specific label locations and warnings. When
operating, repairing, or replacing any AV6010 Camera Module or
RangeFinder Module field replaceable units, note all label content on the
unit. These labels provide special precautions for operation, usage
specifications, product identification, and service information.
