Tachometer
Use the Tachometer window to set key parameters that help define the
camera system’s timing during normal operations.
Prerequisites: You must know whether your system is using an external
tachometer or will be requiring an internal tachometer setting for a specific
number of feet per minute.
To set the system to use an External tachometer:
1. Select Setup > Tachometer from the menu tree. The Tachometer
window is displayed.
2. Confirm the tachometer Source is set correctly for External tach.
Change it using the drop-down list, if necessary.
3. When using an external tachometer
, be sure to:
a. Enter a Resolution in the field in tach pulses per inch.
Typically set for either 16 or 20. (Resolution must be set to 20 if
using dimensioning.)
b. Enter a Scale Factor. No change required. Leave set as 1.
(Change may be required in dimensioning applications.)
4. Click Update to save any changes.
5. Click Reset to return all parameters to the last values saved.
To set the system to use an Internal tachometer:
1. Select Setup > Tachometer from the menu tree. The Tachometer
window is displayed.
2. Confirm the tachometer Source is set correctly for Internal tach. Change
it using the drop-down list, if necessary.
3. Set an internal tach Belt Speed in feet per minute.
4. Click Update to save any changes.
5. Click Reset to return all parameters to the last values saved.
