Determine the cellular module type and carrier firmware version
The capabilities and options available for carrier switching and carrier firmware updates can vary by
cellular module. You can determine the cellular module type and current carrier firmware version
running on the cellular module from the router's web and command-line interfaces.
For more information on carrier switching, see Switch the cellular carrier firmware. For more
information on carrier firmware updates, see Update carrier firmware.

1. Go to Management > Network Status > Interfaces > Mobile.
2. On the mobile status display, check these fields:
n Manufacturer: The manufacturer of the cellular module.
n Model: The cellular module type.
n Firmware Carrier ID: The current carrier firmware running on the cellular module, and its
version number.
Command line
1. Enter the command modemstat ?
2. In the output, check these fields:
n Manufacturer: The manufacturer of the cellular module.
n Model: The cellular module type.
n Firmware Carrier ID: The current carrier firmware running on the cellular module, and
its version number.
