Configure advanced TACACS+ security settings
Advanced TACACS+ parameters do not normally need to be adjusted.

1. Go to Configuration >Security > TACACS+ >Advanced.
2. Enter advanced TACACS+ settings as needed:
Use source IP Address x, y
If required because of a TACACS+ server being accessed via a VPN tunnel, you can select an
alternative source interface here. Select the required interface from the drop-down list and
enter the instance of that interface into the adjacent text box. The available interface options
are
n Auto
n PPP
n Ethernet
Response Timeout s seconds
The amount of time, in seconds, before waiting for a response from the TACACS+ server.
Stop the negotiation if there is no activity for s seconds
The amount of time, in seconds, before an inactive socket is closed.
3. Click Apply.
