Configure command alias mappings
The router supports a number of command aliases which specify strings to be substituted for
commands entered at the command line.
ÉWeb
1. Go to Configuration > Network >Interfaces > Serial >Command Mappings.
The table on the Command Mappings page contains two text entry boxes and an Add button.
You can specify up to 23 command mappings. For example, suppose a user coming from a
Unix™ background feels more comfortable typing ls rather than the native dir command in
order to list the files in a directory. To achieve this aliasing, enter ls into the From column in the
table, dir into the To column and then click the Add button.
2. Enter the command alias mappings
From
The substitute text.
To
The command that should be substituted.
Add
Click this button to add the command mapping.
Delete
When the mapping has been added, a Delete button is enabled in the right-hand column.
Clicking this button removes the binding from the table.
Allow AT Responses
Enables or disables entry of AT commands and their responses over the serial port.
Note If either the From or To string contains spaces, the entire string must be enclosed within
double quotation marks. When substituting a command, upper case characters are considered
the same as the corresponding lower case characters.
3. Click Apply.
