4. Use the carrier carrier_name or carrier carrier_name -ftp command to load the carrier
firmware images onto the router.
The carrier carrier_name command checks for the carrier firmware on a USBstick or in flash
and loads it onto to the router.
The carrier carrier_name -ftp command performs the following actions:
n Downloads the latest firmware files for the current carrier from the Digi FTP site to
flash.
n Checks to see if a firmware download is required (a newer version is available)
n Downloads the files from flash to the MC7354.
n Reboots the cellular module.
For example, to update the carrier firmware for AT&T, enter:

Note Do not reboot the TransPort during the process.
5. Check the event log for the following messages when firmware is successfully downloaded; the
message firmware download complete indicates a successful firmware download:
