When you are sampling an unconnected A/D input, you are looking at a
noisy signal traced in ControlDesk 3.x or ControlDesk Next Generation.
This may give the impression that the performance of the A/D sections of
dSPACE boards is poor.
This chapter gives an explanation of this incorrect impression and further
background information (definition of SNR, measuring noise).
