7.5.2 Setting the lifting gap

To set the lifting gap:
1. Swivel up the machine head ( p. 16).
2. Loosen caps (1) and (2) on the sides of the hook supports.
• Cap (1): left hook
• Cap (2): right hook

3. Turn the handwheel into the 275° position.
 The bobbin case is lifted.
4. Loosen the screws below cap (1) and cap (2).
5. Turn the bobbin capsule lifter (3) such that the distance between the
nose of the bobbin case (4) and the throat plate cutout (5) is 1 mm.
6. Use a suitable tool - e.g. a gage, a drill or a wire - to check the distance.
7. Tighten the screws below cap (1) and cap (2).
