19.4.2 Setting the distance of the transport clamps to the folder sole
(motorized)

Proper setting
There must be a specific distance between the outer edges of the folder
sole (2) and the inner edges of the transport clamps (1). The distance for
moderately heavy sewing material should be approx. 1.0 mm to 1.5 mm.
This distance is necessary to ensure both uniform piping widths and
unhindered transport of the sewing material.
To set the distance between the folder sole and the transport clamps:
1. Open the menu Program parameters > Process of transport
clamp > Select piping type and set all values to 0 ( p. 335).
2. Open the menu Service > Machine config. > Transport
clamp adjustment and press the
button.
3. Pull the transport carriage to the front by hand.
