the needle threads
Fig. 88: Setting the trimming and clamping device for the needle threads
Function of the trimming and clamping device for the needle
threads
The cylinder (1) is switched on following the seam end and during
transport to the corner knives. The thread-pulling knife (3) drops down
and picks up the needle threads.
The thread-pulling knife shoots up after a preset period of time.
The needle threads are clamped at the clamping plate (4) and cut off by
the knife (2).
The clamped needle threads are released after the first few stitches of
the next seam.
The elastic clamping plate (4) causes the thread-pulling knife (3) to abut
flat on the knife (2). This sets the knife automatically to the cutting position.
WARNING
Risk of injury from sharp parts!
Cutting possible.
Switch off the machine before adjusting the settings
of the trimming and clamping device for the needle
threads.
