Inspect the crankshaft sleeve a nd replace if ne c-
essary. To remove the sleeve, use Slide Hammer,
P/N 432128, and Large Puller Jaws, P/N 432129.
Remove the lower main bearing only if it needs to
be rep laced. Use e xternal retaining ring pliers to
remove the lower bearing retaining ring.
IMPORTANT: If the lower main bearing is
removed fro m the cranksha ft, it must be dis-
carded. DO NOT reuse it.
Use a be aring sep arator to support th e bearing,
and press off the crankshaft.
Remove center ma in be arings an d sp lit sleeves
for inspection. DO not mix p arts. Note location of
bearings for reassembly.
