MIDSECTION
EXHAUST HOUSING, 75 – 90 HP
Install the water tube through the top of the inner
exhaust housing and align as shown:
Place a ne w gasket between the in ner e xhaust
housing and the adapter ho using. Apply Ultra
Lock to the screws. Inst all the three lower screws
and three upper screws and tighten to a torque of
60 to 84 in. lbs. (7 to 9.5 N·m).
Apply Adhesive 847 to the bottom flange of the
inner exhaust hou sing. Inst all a new seal. Apply
Triple-Guard grease to outer seal surface.
Clean an d d egrease t he a dapter hou sing a nd
outer exhaust ho using matin g surface s with
Cleaning Solvent. Apply Gel-Seal II sealant to the
adapter flange of the exhaust housing.
Place the a dapter/inner e xhaust hou sing into t he
exhaust housing. Guide the water tube throug h
