4.3 IGMP Pruning
4.3.1 Warning when Using Pruning
It is important to be aware of problems that may arise when using IGMP pruning and IP Mul-
ticast addresses.
WARNING!
When using the IGMP pruning, IP multicast
packets not based on IGMP are discarded.
4.3.2 Enabling IGMP Pruning
IGMP pruning implements a system where only the necessary amount of IP multicast packets
are bridged. To enable IGMP pruning:
1. Select VLAN Setup.
2. Click Advanced>IP Routing>IGMP.
3. Check Enabled.
4. In Pruning timeout, type the new value.
5. Click OK.
