3.8 Permanent Entries
3.8.1 Purpose
You can permanently allocate a port to a device that does not send out device information.
These devices are not removed from the switch’s address table, regardless of how long they
are quiet. This is useful for connections to printers and other similar devices. You can:
• Add a new entry to the list
• Delete an entry
• Edit existing entries
