2-2 Site Preparation
Unpacking Procedure
1. Check all packaging for external damage; report any external damage to
the carrier. If damage is noted, a shipping carrier agent should be present
for unpacking and inspecting the remaining contents.
2. Open and check each package against the bill of material. If any items are
missing, contact Harris MCD’s Customer Support. The Customer Support
information is found at the beginning of this manual.
3. Do not remove equipment from antistatic packaging until immediately
before installation.
4. Ensure that the connectors are undamaged.
5. Ensure that all plug-in units are firmly seated.
6. Ensure that the cable connections are undamaged and secure.
