118 HPM High-Performance Process Manager Service R688
Honeywell December 2020
Cabinet Fan assembly fuse protection
Each cabinet Fan Assembly is protected by fast-action 0.5 A fuse located on the Power System
backpanel assembly. A High-Performance Process Manager cabinet can contain two individually fused
Fan Assemblies. Both the early production Standard, HPM Standard, and AC Only Power System
configurations provide fused circuits for four Fan assemblies. Refer to Figures Figure 27, Figure 28, and
Figure 29 for the locations of the Fan Assembly fuses.
2.21 5 Vdc Fuse Protection
High-Performance I/O Link card
The High-Performance I/O Link card provides the 5 Vdc operating power for the High-Performance
Comm/Control and the HPM UCN Interface module by converting the unfused 24 Vdc from the
backpanel. The 5 Vdc power is protected at the input to the converter by a 3.2 A surface-mounted fuse on
the High-Performance I/O Link card. The 5 Vdc converter output is used by the High-Performance I/O
Link card itself and is also routed to the High-Performance Comm/Control card and the UCN Interface
Module through the backpanel.
