New and upgraded subsystems only
The surge protection network power cable is presently used in new production and newly upgraded
hardware only. However, older hardware can and should be upgraded by the use of a set of power cable
I/O Link protector adapters, Honeywell part number 51204127-100. Figure 58 Surge Protection Network
Power Cables illustrates a set of the cables, cable A and cable B.
The power cable I/O Link protector adapters are installed between the model MU-KDPRxx (51201397-
xxx) power cables and the I/O Link Interface cables and their present connections to the card file. The
result is a similar method of implementing the surge protection network that is illustrated in Figure 59
