Recommendations for Operators and Service Technicians
The flowchart shown in the following figures have been developed for use by both a Universal Station
(US) Operator and the Service Technician.

The flowchart shows the Operator how to use the displays to locate the error code. When the error code
is identified, the Service Technician can begin to further define/resolve the fault by using the error code
tables and associated corrective action recommendations.
After a fault has been isolated to a particular High-Performance Process Manager subassembly, refer to
the “IOP Calibration Procedures” section for the applicable removal and replacement procedures.

Use the following tables in this section in conjunction with the troubleshooting activities guided by the
HPM troubleshooting flow chart. There will be specific references (exit points) to these tables given in
the troubleshooting flowchart.
