2.29 I/O Link Interface Address Pinning
R688 HPM High-Performance Process Manager Service 171
December 2020 Honeywell
Nonredundant HPMM subsystem
For a HPM subsystem with a nonredundant HPMM and supporting I/O card files, the card file that
contains the HPMM must be pinned for an I/O Link Interface address of zero (0), and the I/O card files
that contain IOPs must be pinned for consecutive addresses that start at one (1).
See Figure 81 for the location of the jumpers on the 7-Slot card file and Figure 84 for the location of the
jumpers on the 15-Slot card file. If IOP Only card files are used, see Figure 81.
Remember that software will see these card file addresses as a value of +1 when compared to the value
actually pinned. (i. e. pinned value of 0 = card file 1, pinned value of 1 = card file 2, etc.)
Figure 83 Left 7-Slot Card File I/O Link Interface Address Pinning
7-Slot card files
If the HPMM is resident in a Left 7-Slot card file and its Right 7-Slot card file exists, both 7-Slot card
files must be pinned for an I/O Link Interface address of zero (0). The I/O card files that contain IOPs
must be pinned for consecutively addresses that start at one (1).
