Setting the Trigger
The trigger can be taken from a rising or falling measured power level or
controlled externally using the Ext Trig input. Additional control features such as;
hold-off, hysteresis, and delay are provided to help you achieve a stable and
reliable trigger. To use the measurement gates, the power meter must be
triggered.
Press . The Trigger menu is displayed.
The trigger status is displayed below the label in the Trigger menu.
Figure 2-36 shows the power meter display in Free Run mode. In this mode the
meter is not synchronized to any modulated RF signal at the sensor input.
Consequently, power levels within the configured time gates are random and the
displayed measurement results are not valid.

NOTE
This feature is only available when a P-Series power sensor is connected.
