RF Preselector Section
RF Preselector Section Purpose
In the A24 Conducted Filter assembly the signal is then routed through the
fixed bandpass filter that corresponds to the tuned frequency of the
instrument. Once the signal is filtered it is routed back to the A21 RF
Preselector Input assembly. If the user selects to use it, the signal is then
amplified before it reaches an overload detector.
The signal then leaves the A21 RF Preselector Input assembly and is routed
back to the SW2 Transfer switch.
Radiated Filter Path - 30 MHz to 3.6 GHz
The input signal is routed to the SW2 Transfer switch, where it could either
be directed through the RF Preselector section of the instrument or bypass
it.
When routed through the RF Preselector section the input signal first goes
to the A21 RF Preselector Input assembly where it is sent through both a
low pass filter and a high pass filter before it is routed to the A22 Radiated
Filter assembly.
In the A22 Radiated Filter assembly the signal is then routed through a
tunable bandpass filter that corresponds to the tuned frequency of the
instrument for signals less than 2 GHz. Signals greater than 2 GHz are
routed through a fixed high pass filter. Once the signal is filtered it is routed
back to the A21 RF Preselector Input assembly. If the user selects to use it,
the signal is then amplified before it reaches an overload detector.
The signal then leaves the A21 RF Preselector Input assembly and is routed
back to the SW2 Transfer switch.
