RF Preselector Section Troubleshooting
This section will describe how to verify the performance of the following
assemblies:
— A21 RF Preselector Input Assembly
— A22 Radiated Filter Assembly
— A24 Conducted Filter Assembly
A21 RF Preselector Input Assembly
Since the A21 RF Preselector Input assembly is responsible for the routing of
the input signal to either the A24 Conducted Filter assembly or the A22
Radiated Filter assembly, control of both SW1 Cal Switch and SW2 Transfer
Switch, control of the A23 Limiter assembly, preamplification of the input
signal in both the conducted and radiated filter paths, as well as providing
alignment signals for the RF preselector filters, there are quite a few different
things that will need to be checked to verify that it is functioning properly. They
are:
1. Assembly Initialization
2. SW1 Cal Switch and SW2 Transfer Switch Control
3. A23 Limiter Assembly Control
4. Input Signal Routing and Pre-Filtering
5. Output Signal Routing and Preamplifiers
6. Alignment Signal Generation
7. Through Path
