Disk Drive Recovery Process
Using the Instrument Recovery System
1. Make sure the instrument is turned off.
2. Turn on the instrument.
3. After the “Keysight Technologies” screen is displayed the following screen
contents will be displayed for 5 seconds.

4. Press the down arrow key to move the highlight to “Instrument Image
Recovery System”, press the Enter key.
5. When the Instrument Image Recovery System has booted, follow the
on-screen instructions to recover the image of the C drive.
6. After exiting the Instrument Image Recovery System, the instrument will
reboot a few times.
7. Update the instrument application software to the latest version by
downloading it from the following URL:
www.keysight.com/find/mxe_software
