* The ED-8C724-20, Group 394 sync input timing cable is required ONLY if the DDM-2000 OC-12 shelf is
equipped with BBF2B/BBF4 circuit packs configured for providing a sync output for the BITS clock. The
BBF2B/BBF4 circuit packs are externally timed to a DS1 reference. The Group 394 cable connects to
J266 of the Group 210 cable on the DDM-2000 OC-12 shelf in series with the cable that is providing the
incoming external reference signal.
† This cable does not connect to the backplane. It is used between the TBOS mult cables, when CIT and
modem are to be multed without TBOS.
‡ TBOS is not available in OC-12, Release 7.
