After a few moments, the FAULT LED should stop flashing and the ACTIVE LED
on the OLIU circuit pack should light. On the user panel the CR alarm should
extinguish and the MN and NE ACTY alarms should be lit.
(7) Reconnect the lightguide jumper on the second OLIU.
After a few moments, the FAULT LED should stop flashing on the OLIU and all
alarms should extinguish.
Manual Protection Switching Test
Description
This test will verify manual protection switching commands using a terminal and proper
LED indications.
Perform this test on all shelves.
BBF2B/BBF2C/BBF4 TGS Protection Switch
(1) Issue the command switch-sync (SWITCH TGS).
a. Enter circuitpack at the SyncFunction prompt.
b. Enter
manual at the priority prompt.
c. Enter
y at the execute prompt.
(2) Verify that the ACTIVE LED, previously noted to be lit, extinguishes and the
ACTIVE LED on the other BBF2B/BBF4 TGS circuit pack lights.
BBG11 3DS3 or BBG12 3STS1E Protection Switch
(1) Perform this test for FN positions equipped with BBG11B or BBG12B circuit
packs.
(2) Note which Function Unit of the pair to be tested has it’s ACTIVE LED lit and
issue the command switch-fn (SWITCH LOW SPEED).
a. Enter fn-a, fn-b, fn-c, or
fn-d at the address prompt.
b. Enter manual at the priority prompt.
c. Enter
y at the execute prompt.
(3) Verify that the ACTIVE LED, previously noted to be lit, extinguishes and the
ACTIVE LED on the other circuit pack of the pair lights.
(4) Repeat this procedure for each pair of 3DS3 or 3STS1E circuit packs.
