Bays without a Fuse Panel
When the DDM-2000 bay is NOT equipped with a fuse panel  bay, connect office power 
to the DDM-2000 bay as follows:

WARNING:
Verify that the circuit breakers associated with the power feeders are off or that 
the fuses ar not installed at the BDFB.
1. At the top of the DDM-2000 bay, unroll the ED-8C724-22 Group 13 riser 
power cable shipped with bay. This cable is installed by the factory and 
connects power to each  equipped OC3 and OC12 shelf. The Group 13 
cable consists of four power feeders for connection with C. O. power: “A” 
and “B” battery and ground cables.
2. Label the feeders at the DDM-2000 bay as BAT A, BAT B, GRD A, and 
GRD B.
3. Prepare the Group 13 feeders:
e.  Allow sufficient wire length to reach where the C. O. feeder will be 
tapped. 
f. Tap in each battery and ground wire to the Central Office BAT A, 
BAT B, GRD A, and GRD B cables with the “C” clamp or equivalent 
furnished according to job specifications. 
4.  Dress and tie the Group 13 battery and ground cables as required.
NOTE:
Maintain  BDFB fuses removed or  breakers off  until you are ready to do the 
“Powering, Verification and Circuit Pack installation” section in this manual.
Final Operations
Procedure
(1) Verify that all BDFB fuses removed or breakers off.
