OC-3/OC-12 Bay Planning
Plan the DDM-2000 OC-3/OC-12 bay installation as follows:
a. Refer to floor plan in the job specifications for the bay location. Mark the bay
name and number on the floor in the space where the frame is to be located.
b. If there is more than one bay in the lineup, plan to leave a 1/16-inch clearance
between bay framework.
c. Bay mounting hardware is provided with the DDM-2000 bay. However the build-
ing may require specific mounting hardware. Verify that this material has been
provided per job specifications.
d. Bays should not be shipped or stored in a standing position.
e. Circuit packs must not be installed at this point.
f. Perform bay cabling per Chapters 2 and 3 after this chapter.
This chapter of the installation manual contains the latest installation information at the
