NOTE:
See Figure 4-2 on page 4-12 for a graphic of bay shimmimg.
(6) Verify that the bay is plumb. If necessary, use shims to plumb bay. If there is an
adjacent bay, the DDM-2000 bay should be aligned until the junction plates
holes match up. Maintain a distance of 1/16 inches between adjacent bays.
Shims furnished per ED8C805-50, Group 5 are shown below.
(7) Assemble the hold-down parts as follows:
a. Install hold-down plates over each threaded stud inside the base of the
frame. See Figure 4-2 on page 4-12.
b. Install hold-down washers over the hold-down plates.
The following hold-down parts are furnished per ED8C501-50, Group 1:.
(8) Install the remaining parts required for bay hold-down as follows:
a. Install the insulating bushings (if required).
b. Install the plain washers.
c. Install the hex nuts on each threaded stud and hand tighten.
d. Torque the hold-down assembly to 25-foot-pounds (requirement for drop-
in anchors).
