4.19 IMAGE ADJUSTMENT
4.19.1 SCANNING
Check the printing registration/side-to-side adjustment and the blank margin adjustment before
you do the following scanner adjustments.
§ Use a C4 test chart to do the following adjustments.
Scanner sub-scan magnification
A: Sub-scan magnification
1. Put the test chart on the exposure glass. Then make a copy from one of the feed stations.
2. Check the magnification ratio. Adjust with SP4-008 if necessary.
Standard: ±1.0%.
Scanner leading edge and side-to-side registration
A: Leading Edge Registration
1. Put the test chart on the exposure glass. Then make a copy from one of the feed stations.
2. Check the leading edge and side-to-side registration. Adjust the following SP modes if
necessary.
