Date Code 20150130 Instruction Manual SEL-787 Relay
Introduction and Specifications
Getting Started
Table 7.48 provides the definition of each status report designator and
Table 10.8 shows all the self-tests performed by the relay. The beginning of
the status report printout (see Figure 1.2) contains the relay serial number,
firmware identification string (FID), and checksum string (CID). These strings
uniquely identify the relay and the version of the operating firmware.
Setting the Date
and Time
DAT (Date Command)
Viewing the Date
Type DAT <Enter> at the prompt to view the date stored in the SEL-787. If
the date stored in the relay is February 28, 2008, and the DATE_F setting is
MDY, the relay will reply:
2/28/2008
If the DATE_F setting is YMD, the relay will reply:
2008/2/28
If the DATE_F setting is DMY, the relay will reply:
28/2/2008
Changing the Date
Type DAT followed by the correct date at the prompt to change the date stored
in the relay. For example, to change the date to May 2, 2008
(DATE_F = MDY), enter the following at the action prompt:
DAT 5/2/08
You can separate the month, day, and year parameters with spaces, commas,
slashes, colons, and semicolons.
