Chapter 5: Processing
Operating the Touch Screen
The XTRA system is operated and configured through the touch screen display located on the top of
the machine. The operator interacts with the display through various screens by touching the screen
where indicated by the presence of buttons and tabs.
Enabled buttons and tabs have a raised appearance (see Figure 5-1). To activate a button, press and
release on the screen anywhere within the button (an action referred to as “touching” throughout this
manual). The button will appear momentarily depressed, and then will perform its associated function.

Some buttons are used to toggle a function or module between active and inactive states. An active
toggle button appears inset and green (see Figure 5-2).

Disabled buttons appear grey and flat (see Figure 5-3). Pressing a disabled button or tab has no
effect.
