Library Control Module (LCM)
The library uses a dedicated on-board computer module called the Library
Control Module (LCM) to run the BlueScale software that controls and
manages all aspects of the library operation.
Spectra PC and Spectra LS Depending on when you purchased your
library, your library may use either the Spectra LS or the Spectra PC as the
LCM. The Spectra LS provides the same functionality as the Spectra PC
and includes features that allow for new functionality in the future. The
Spectra LS also contains a hard drive that is used for storing the logs used
for troubleshooting the library.
External Components Figure 8 shows the external components on the
Spectra PC; Figure 9 shows the Spectra LS.
