3. Determine whether the filter can be rotated.
If the filter was not previously rotated, rotate it 180°, top to bottom.
Note: When you rotate the filter, mark it in some way so that you can
tell at a glance the next time you inspect the filter.
If the filter was already rotated once, you must replace it.
4. Use a dry cloth to wipe any accumulated dust off the inside of the filter
cover.
5. Place the new air filter against the inside of the fan cover so that it fits
between the tabs (shown in Figure 284 on page 460).
6. Push the top edge of the cover toward the front panel until the magnets
secure it to the front panel.
INSTALLING CORD LOCKS AND CHASSIS GROUNDING
To ensure proper grounding, the library must either have cord locks
installed on both ends of each AC power cord or a permanent grounding
cable attached to the AC switch plates on the back of the library.
Install Cord Locks
Install cord locks to keep the AC power cords from being accidentally
disconnected from the library. The cord locks, provided with the library,
are typically installed when the library is installed. Do not remove the cord
locks unless you need to disconnect the AC power cords from the library.
Use the following steps to install the cord lock on a AC power cord where
it connects to the library.
1. Using a #2 Phillips screw driver, loosen, but do not remove, the two
screws securing the cord lock assembly to the AC switch plate.
Risk of electrical shock. If you operate the library without locks on both ends of the
AC power cords, a permanent grounding wire must be installed between the power
supply bay and Earth ground.
