USING BLUESCALE HARDWARE HEALTH MONITORING
Overview BlueScale Hardware Health Monitoring (HHM) tracks
maintenance thresholds for key library components. When the library or
one of its components reaches its maintenance threshold the HHM icon
appears on the status bar. As with the system message icon, the color of the
icon indicates the urgency of the notification.
Streaming video
and camera
controls do not
work for the
library camera
The software included
with the black camera,
requires ActiveX to view
the streaming video and
controls.
Select one of the resolutions below.
Use Internet Explorer or a plugin for your
browser that provides ActiveX support, such as
‘IE Tab’ for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox
or ‘Open in Internet Explorer’ for Safari. Consult
your browser's documentation for assistance
installing a plugin.
Use a multimedia player, such as VLC Media
Player, to view the streaming video. To configure
the camera in VLC Media Player, launch the
program and navigate to Media > Open Network
Stream, select the Network tab, and enter rtsp:/
/[camera IP address]/live.sdp.
Connect to the camera by entering the IP address
in your web browser. Ignore pop up windows
about missing plugins. Select the Configuration
tab, then select Advanced Mode. Select Media >
Video and in the Stream Settings pane select Video
settings for stream 1. Select JPEG and the enter the
desired settings, and then click Save. Return to
the Home page. Switch to Video Stream 2, and
then back to Video Stream 1. The video stream
should display.
Note: You will need to switch to Video Stream 2
and then back to Video Stream 1 each time you
return to the Home page.
