SETTING THE CAMERA IP ADDRESS
The BlueScale Vision camera installed in the library has its own IP address.
This address is separate from the IP address used for communications with
the library.
1. Connect an Ethernet cable from the camera Ethernet port on the back of
the library to a network that is accessible to a Windows-based
computer. The camera Ethernet connector is located to the right of the
LCM on the back of the library.
Notes: Depending on how the computer you are using is
configured, you may need to temporarily change the
computers network settings so that it can access the camera.
The factory default settings for all cameras are:
In order to comply with EMC requirements, use a shielded
Ethernet cable to connect the camera to your network.
2. Start a web browser session on the computer you will use to configure
the camera.
Note: The software included with the black camera requires ActiveX to
view the streaming video and controls. You must use Internet
Explorer or see Streaming video and camera controls do not
work for the library camera on page 349 for alternate solutions.
