Making Ground and Power Connections

Grounding connections must be made with UL listed grounding terminals.
1. Remove 1/4 to 1/2 inch (6 to 12 mm) of the insulation from the 1.5 mm
2
/ 16 AWG
ground wire and coat the conductor with an electrically conductive antioxidant
compound such as Kopr-shield spray.
2. Crimp a supplied UL listed Ring Lug to the other end of the 1.5 mm
2
/ 16 AWG
ground wire.
3. Clean the connection point on the rack to a bright finish and coat it with an
electrically conductive antioxidant compound such as Kopr-shield spray.
4. Connect the Ring Lug to the rack with supplied 12-24 screws and external star
lock washers. Do not connect multiple connectors to the same screw assembly.
Note: Soldering Earth grounding connections is no longer allowed
per GR-1089-CORE Issue 4. Grounding connections must be made
with U.L. listed compression grounding terminals.
