Enabling Security
To edit a user’s security level or password in the user list:
1. Highlight the user name you wish to edit.
2. Click Edit User.
3. Change the security level as necessary using the drop-down box.
4. Type the old (current) password for the user in the Password field.
5. Type a new password in the New Password field.
6. Retype the new password in the Confirm Password field.
7. Press Accept.
8. Click Close to close the User Administration dialog box.
To delete a user from the user list:
1. Highlight the user name you wish to edit.
2. Click Delete. A pop-up window requests you to confirm the deletion. Click OK.
3. Click Close to close the User Administration dialog box.
Using TL1 Commands
To make changes to the user list using TL1 commands, you must issue individual
commands.
To add a user to the user list, issue the ENT-USER-SECU command:
ED-USER-SECU:[<tid>]:<aid>:<ctag>::<pid>,,<uap>;
where:
<aid> is the new user name
<pid> is the password
<uap> is the security level (USER, SECURITY, or ADMIN)
To change your password, issue the ED-PID command:
ED-PID:[<tid>]:<aid>:<ctag>::<oldpid>,<newpid>;
where:
<aid> is your current user name
<oldpid> is your old password
<newpid> is your new password
