5.Disconnectorremovehydraulictubesfromthedesiredwheelmotorinthe
orderrecommended(Figure92andFigure93).Itmaybenecessaryto
completelyremovethehydraulictubeorloosentheoppositeendofthe
hydraulictubetoallowwheelmotorremoval.Ifremoved,markortagthe
tubepositionsforinstallation.
6.Putcapsorplugsondisconnectedhydrauliclinesandttingstoprevent
contamination.
Note:Althoughtherearwheelmotorsarethesameforleftandrightsides,
donotinterchangethemastheyhaveberun−inforonedirectionand
inefciencieswillresultifswitched.
7.Ifbothwheelmotorsarebeingremoved,labelmotorsleftsideorrightside.
CAUTION
Makesurewheelmotorisproperlysupportedbeforeremovingthe
mountingscrews.Thewheelmotorassemblyweighsapproximately
68kg(150lb).
8.Removeeight(8)capscrewsthatsecurefrontwheelmotortothemachine
frameandremovethewheelmotor.
9.Ifnecessary,removettingsfromwheelmotoranddiscardttingO−rings.

IMPORTANT
Becauseofinternaldifferencesinfrontwheelmotors,DONOT
interchangefrontwheelmotorsonmachine(i.e.donotputrightside
motoronleftsideofmachine).Ifnecessary,usepartscatalogand
partnumberonwheelmotortoidentifyRHandLHmotors.
1.Ifttingswereremovedfromwheelmotor,lubricateandplacenewO−rings
ontottings.Installttingsintomotorportsandtightenttings(seeInstalling
theHydraulicFittings(SAEStraightThreadO-RingFittings)(page5–9)).
2.Positionwheelmotorinframeandsecurewitheight(8)capscrews.Tighten
capscrewsfrom183to224N·m(135to165ft−lb).
