Thethree(3)cuttingdeckraise/lowerswitchesarelocatedontheconsolearm
(Figure212).Whenthefrontofaraise/lowerswitchisdepressedandheld,the
controlleddeck(left,frontorright)willlower.Oncelowered,whenthefrontof
theraise/lowerswitchisdepressedagain,thecontrolleddeckwilloat.When
therearofaliftswitchisdepressedandheld,thecontrolleddeckwillraise.The
deckwillremaininpositionwhentheswitchisreleased.
Theslavecontrollermonitorsthepositionoftheraise/lowerswitches(raise,
loweroroat).Usinginputsfromtheraise/lowerswitchesandotherswitchesin
theinterlocksystem,theslavecontrollerenergizesthehydraulicsolenoidvalves
inthesteering/liftcontrolhydraulicmanifoldasnecessary.
Note:ThedecksdonotlowerwhilethemachineisintheHIGHspeedrange,
andthedecksdonotraiseorloweriftheoperatorisoutoftheseatwhilethe
engineisrunning.Thedeckraisingfunctionislimitedatenginespeedsbelow
2,000rpm.Thecuttingdeckswillraiseoneatatimebelow2,000enginerpm.
Testing
Theraise/lowerswitchesandtheircircuitwiringcanbetestedasTECinputs
usingtheInfoCenterDisplay(seeInfoCenterDisplay(page6–9)).Iftesting
determinesthataswitchanditscircuitwiringarenotfunctioningcorrectly,
proceedwiththefollowingtestprocedure:
1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface,lowercuttingdecksifpossibleandstop
engine.Removekeyfromkeyswitch.
2.Turnbattery−disconnectswitchtotheOFFposition.
3.Disassembletheconsolearmtogainaccesstotheswitches(seeConsole
Arm(page7–35)).
4.Disconnectmachinewireharnessconnectorfromtheswitchbeingtested.
