TheYanmarenginethatpowersyourGroundsmasterusesanElectronicControl
Unit(ECU)forenginemanagementandalsotocommunicatewiththeT oro
ElectronicController(TEC)andtheoperatorInfoCenterdisplayonthemachine.
AllwireharnesselectricalconnectorsshouldbepluggedintotheECUbefore
themachinekeyswitchismovedfromtheOFFpositiontoeithertheONor
STARTposition.
Theengineelectricalcomponents(e.g.ECU,fuelinjectors,EGR,exhaustDPF)
areidentiedandmatchedintheengineECUprogram.Ifengineelectrical
componentsarereplacedontheengine,theYanmarelectronictoolmustbe
usedtoupdatetheECUprogramwhichwillensurecorrectengineoperation.
IftheengineECUidentiesthatanengineproblemexists,theenginespeed
maybereducedortheenginemightstop.TheYanmarelectronictooland
troubleshootingmanualshouldbeusedtoprovideassistanceinidentifyingthe
causeoftheproblemandtherepairsthatarenecessary.ContactyourT oro
distributorforassistanceinYanmarenginetroubleshooting.
IMPORTANT
DonotplugorunplugtheengineECUforaperiodofthirty(30)
secondsafterthemachinekeyswitchisturnedOFF.TheECUmay
remainenergizedeventhoughthekeyswitchisOFF.
