MachinefaultsaregeneratedbytheToroElectronicControllers(TEC)toidentify
anelectricalsystemmalfunction(fault)thatoccursduringmachineoperation.
Whenanmachinefaultoccurs,anaudiblealarmwillsoundandtheInfoCenter
willdisplayinformationaboutthefaultlogged.Machinefaultscanbeviewedvia
theInfoCenterDiagnosticScreenFaultViewer(Figure9).SeeDIAGNOSTICS

TheYanmarEngineControlUnit(ECU)canalsogenerateelectricalfaults.The
faultsgeneratedbytheECUarespecictotheengine(seeEngineFaults(page

Machinefaults1through4arespecictothetractionpedalpositionsensor.For
tractionpedalpositionsensorproblems:
1.UsetheInfoCenterDisplaytocheckthedifferenttractionpedalposition
sensorpositions(seeDIAGNOSTICSSCREENS(page6–22)).
2.Recalibratethetractionpedalpositionsensor(seeTractionPedalPosition
SensorCalibration(page6–51)).
3.Testthetractionpedalpositionsensoranditscircuitwiring(seeTesting
(page5–36)).
Faultcode5isspecictothemasterTECoutputsignalsbeingsenttothe
traction(piston)pumpforwardandreversesolenoids.Thisfaultmayindicatean
internalproblemwiththemasterTECrequiringreplacementandreprograming.
