Preventdamagewhenclampingthemotorintoavise;clamponthe
frontangeonly.Also,useavisewithsoftjaws.
3.Clampfrontangeofmotorinavisewithsoftjawswiththeshaftenddown.
4.Loosencapscrewsfromtherearcover.
5.Removemotorfromthevise.Turnmotorsothattheshaftendisfacing
down.Removecapscrews.
6.Separaterearcoverfrombody.Liftrearcoverfrommotor.
IMPORTANT
Notepositionoftheopenandclosedsideofthethrustplatesbefore
removing.Identifythrustplates(frontandrear,drivegearandidler
gear)withamarkerforproperassembly.
IMPORTANT
Marktherelativepositionsofthegearteethsotheycanbe
reassembledinthesame(mated)position.Donottouchthegear
surfacesasresidueonhandsmaybecorrosivetogearnish.
7.Carefullyremovebody.Liftbodystraightuptoremove.Makesuretherear
thrustplateremainsonthedriveandidlergearshafts.Removeanddiscard
O–ringsfromthebody.Locateandretrievedowelpins.
8.Carefullyremoverearthrustplate,idlergear,drivegearandfrontthrust
platefromthefrontange.
9.Removeanddiscardback−upgasketsandpressuresealsfromthrustplates.
