Whensecuringshaftinvise,clamponshaftclevisonly.Donot
clampvisejawsagainsttheshaftsurface.
5.Mountshaftsecurelyinavisebyclampingontheclevisoftheshaft.Remove
locknutfromtheshaft.Slideshaft,cushionandheadofftheshaft.
6.Removepistonseal,wearringandO−ringfromthepiston.RemoveO−ring,
back−upring,dustseal,wearringandshaftsealfromthehead.
7.Washpartsincleansolvent.Drypartswithcompressedair.Donotwipeparts
drywithpapertowelsorcloth.Lintinahydraulicsystemwillcausedamage.
8.Carefullyinspectinternalsurfaceofbarrelfordamage(deepscratches,
out−of−round,etc.).Replaceentirecylinderifbarrelisdamaged.Inspect
shaftandpistonforevidenceofexcessivescoring,pittingorwear.Replace
anydamagedparts.

1.Makesureallpartsarecleanbeforeassembly.
2.CoatnewO−rings,pistonseal,rodseal,back−upring,wearringsanddust
sealwithcleanhydraulicoil.
A.Installpistonseal,wearringandO−ringtothepiston.
B.Installback−upring,O−ring,shaftseal,wearringanddustsealtothe
head.
IMPORTANT
Whensecuringshaftinvise,clamponshaftclevisonly.Donot
clampvisejawsagainsttheshaftsurface.
3.Mountshaftsecurelyinaviseequippedwithsoftjawsbyclampingonthe
shaftclevis.
A.Coatshaftwithcleanhydraulicoil.
B.Slideexternalcollar,head,cushionandpistonontotheshaft.
C.Securepistontoshaftwithlocknut.T orquelocknutto176N·m(130
ft-lb).
4.Lubricatehead,cushionandpistonwithcleanhydraulicoil.Slideshaft
assemblycarefullyintocylinderbarrel.
IMPORTANT
Preventdamagewhenclampingthecylinder’sbarrelintoavise;
clamponthebarrelclevisonly.Donotcloseviseonbarrel.
5.Mountliftcylinderinaviseequippedwithsoftjawsbyclampingonthe
barrelclevis.
6.Useaspannerwrenchtotightencollarontobarrel.
