5.Disconnectbothevaporatorcoreswivelttingsfromfrontportsofexpansion
valve.Immediatelycaptubesandexpansionvalveportstopreventmoisture
andcontaminantsfromenteringthesystem.Positionexpansionvalvewith
attachedhosesawayfromthemixingbox.
6.Labelheaterhosesforassemblypurposes.Loosenhoseclampsand
disconnectbothheaterhosesfromtubesonheatercore.
7.Removemixingboxcover:
A.Carefullyuseasmallpry−bartoraiseheadofpinincenterofeachrivet
thatsecuresmixingboxcover.
B.Liftrivetsfromcoverandmixingbox.
C.Removemixingboxcover.
8.LocatewirefromfreezeswitchthatisinsertedintoA/Cevaporatorcore
throughmountbracketcover.Carefullypullwirefromcoverandpositionit
awayfromcover.
9.Removescrews(item5)thatsecuremountbracketcovertomountbracket.
Liftcoverandpositionitawayfrommountbrackettakingcaretonotdamage
freezeswitchorwiresconnectedtotheswitch.
10.CarefullyliftheaterandA/Cevaporatorcoreassemblyfromframe.
11.SeparateheaterandA/CevaporatorcoresasneededusingFigure353asa
guide.Thecoresaresecuredtoeachotherwithdoublesidedtape(item10).
12.Inspectseals,gasketsandinsulationinmixingboxassemblyfortearsor
otherdamage.Replacealldamagedsealingcomponents.
Installation(Figure353)
1.AssembleheaterandA/CevaporatorcoresusingFigure353asaguide.
2.CarefullyinstallheaterandA/Cevaporatorcoreassemblyintoframein
mixingbox.
3.Positionmountbracketcovertomountbrackettakingcaretonotdamage
freezeswitchorwiresconnectedtotheswitch.Securecovertomount
bracketwithremovedscrews(item5).
4.InsertwirefromfreezeswitchintoA/Cevaporatorcorethroughmount
bracketcover.Thewireshouldbeinserted51mm(2in)pastthecover.
5.Securecovertomixingboxassembly:
A.Positionmixingboxcovertomixingbox.Makesurethatwireharness
isroutedthroughrecessinsideofmixingbox.
B.Withtherivetpininaraisedposition,insertrivetsthroughcoverandinto
holeinmixingbox.Presspinintorivettosecurerivetinplace.
6.Usinglabelsplacedduringdisassembly,connectbothheaterhosestotubes
onheatercoreandsecurewithhoseclamps.
