systemthatincludesadieseloxidationcatalyst(DOC)andadieselparticulate
lter(DPF).Theseexhaustcomponentsrequireserviceorcomponent
replacementatintervalsidentiedinyourOperator’sManual.Additionally,the
exhaustassemblyusestwo(2)temperaturesensorsandapressuredifferential
sensorwhichareusedasinputsfortheengineECUtomonitortheoperation
oftheexhaustsystem.
Thedieselparticulatelter(DPF)iscleanedperiodicallythrougharegenerative
processthatiscontrolledbytheengineECU(seetheEngineElectronicControl
Unit(ECU)(page4–3)).TheInfoCenterdisplaywillidentifythestatusofDPF
regeneration.Atrecommendedintervals,DPFreconditioningisnecessarywhich
willrequireexhaustsystemdisassembly,DPFremovalandDPFreconditioning
byacompanythathasthenecessaryequipment.OncetheDPFhasgone
throughthereconditioningprocess,itcanbere−installedintheexhaustsystem.
ContactyourToroDistributorforinformationonreconditioningtheDPF .
Thedieseloxidationcatalyst(DOC)hasaservicelifeexpectancyandrequires
replacementatrecommendedintervals.ReplacementoftheDOCwillrequire
exhaustsystemdisassembly,removaloftheexistingDOCandinstallation
ofthenewDOC.

ExhaustSystemRemoval
Note:TheexhaustsystemDPFandDOCcanberemovedfromtheexhaust
systemwithoutremovingtheentireexhaustfromtheengine.SeetheYanmar
ServiceManualforcompletedisassemblyandassemblyprocedures.
CAUTION
Theengineandexhaustsystemmaybehot.Toavoidpossible
burns,allowtheengineandexhaustsystemtocoolbeforeworking
ontheexhaustsystem.
