19.Ifnecessary,removeengineisolatormountsfromframe.Noteground
connectionatrightrearisolatormount.
20.Coverorplugallengineopeningstopreventcontaminantsfromentering
engine.
EngineInstallation
1.Ifremoved,installengineisolatormountstoframe.
2.Ifremoved,installenginemountbracketstoengineandtightencapscrews
from54to65N·m(40to48ft−lb).
3.Makesurethatallpartsremovedfromtheengineduringmaintenanceor
rebuildingarecorrectlyinstalledtotheengine.
4.Removeallcoversandplugsfromengineopeningsthatwereplacedduring
engineremoval.
CAUTION
Makesurethathoistorliftusedtoinstallenginecanproperly
supportengine.Engineweighsapproximately295kg(650lb).
5.Connectsuitablehoistorlifttothefrontandrearlifttabsonengine.Donot
allowtheliftchainsorstrapstocontacttheDPF .
CAUTION
Onepersonshouldoperateliftorhoistwhiletheotherpersonguides
theengineintothemachine.
IMPORTANT
Makesurenottodamagetheengine,fuelandhydrauliclines,
electricalharnessorotherpartswhileinstallingtheengine.
6.Slowlylowerengineintothemachine.
7.Installthepiston(traction)pump(seePiston(Traction)Pump(page5–94)).
8.Alignenginemountbracketstotheengineisolatormountsandsecurewith
capscrews,snubbingwashersandlocknuts(Figure27).
9.OnGroundsmaster5910machines,installairconditioningcompressor(see
