1 General information
This encoTRive PROFINET manual includes the following topics:
● Additional safety instructions
● PROFINET communication
● Configuration / Parameterization
● Diagnosis
● First start-up
As the documentation is made up in a modular manner, this encoTRive PROFINET
manual constitutes an addition to other documentation such as customer-specific user
manuals, project engineering manual, dimension drawings, brochures etc.
The encoTRive PROFINET Manual may be included in the customer’s specific
delivery package or it may be requested separately.
1.1 Target group
This documentation is directed towards
Commissioning, operating and maintenance personnel, who are tasked with
carrying out such activities on the MD-300-PN, MP-XXX-PN or MA-XXX-PN
positioning drive.
The respective qualifications of the personnel are defined in the Project Engineering
Manual in the chapter entitled “Choice and qualifications of personnel; basic
obligations”.
1.2 Applicability
The encoTRive PROFINET manual applies exclusively to the following types of
decentralized positioning drive with PROFINET-IO interface:
MD-300-PN
MP-XXX-PN
MA-XXX-PN
The products are labeled with affixed nameplates and are components of a system.
The following documentation therefore also applies:
● operator’s operating instructions specific to the system,
● this encoTRive PROFINET manual,
● the Project Engineering Manual TR-EMO-BA-DGB-0015,
● the customer-specific user manual (optional),
● Commissioning instructions for CoDeSys/PLCopen/Function modules/Hand-held
unit (optional)
