9 Function of the digital inputs / outputs; MD-300
9.1 Basic functions
9.1.1 Inputs
The four integrated digital inputs provide the function of an additional digital input
module at field level, on the one hand. Signals from e.g. connected sensors or push-
buttons/switches are displayed by means of bit coding via parameter P803 "Digital
Input" and initially have no direct influence on the drive activity.
On the other hand, different functions can be assigned to the digital inputs (see
chapter 9.2.1).

9.1.2 Outputs
The four integrated digital outputs provide the function of an additional digital output
module at field level, on the one hand. By means of the parameter P804
"Digital_Output", the actuators can be controlled directly by the master.
On the other hand, different functions can be assigned to the digital outputs (see
chapter 9.2.2).
