11.4.5 Gateway / Router
If in the IO-Controller a gateway (Router) is defined, the IP-address must be entered
in the encoTRive manually. That means, in this case the automatic assignment of the
IP-address for the encoTRive must be deactivated in the hardware configuration. This
is necessary, because the encoTRive does not support the gateway function so far.
However, if this item is activated in the IO-Controller, the IO-Controller sends the
gateway to all IO-Devices where the automatic assignment of the IP-address was
activated. This can lead to a failure of the encoTRive.
If the automatic assignment of the IP-address for the encoTRive is activated, then under
Gateway the entry "Do not use router" must be selected, see Figure 23.
