8.3 Description of parameters
Each parameter in the encoTRive object directory has a parameter description,
which contains information relating to the parameter. The parameter description is
stored in the encoTRive memory and can be read out by means of the PKW or acyclic
reading order.
The parameter description for a parameter has a fixed length of 46 bytes.
The individual elements of the parameter description can be accessed by means of
the subindex. If subindex 0 is used, then this means the whole of the parameter
description.
Full description (46 bytes)
Content of sub indices 1-12
1-Array 0-Simple parameter
1-Parameter can only be reset (e.g.
time difference)
1-Parameter has been changed from
the factory setting
1-Additional text array available
1-Parameter cannot be written
1-Normalization and size attribute not
relevant
encoTRive uses only bits
0-7, 9, 14.
The following values are fixed for
the remaining bits:
bit 13: 0
bit 12: 0
bit 10: 0
bit 8: 0
Number of array elements or string length (2 bytes)
If the parameter is an array parameter, then the
number of array elements is specified here.
In the case of a character string, this element
contains the length of the string.
Normalization factor (4 bytes)
Floating-point number with which an internal value
can be converted to a physical representation.
Attribute (2 bytes)
Physical unit / quantity
Name (16 Byte)
Parameter name. Character string
Lower limit value (4 Byte)
Upper limit value (4 Byte)
ID extension. Reserved (2 Byte)
PZD reference parameter (2 bytes)
PZD normalization (2 bytes)
